The history of this vineyard is centuries old and is considered to be one of the four most important wine producing areas in Tuscany. Tenuta Sette Ponti extends over 330 hectares (of which 50 are vines) in Valdarno, in the suggestive heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Arezzo, an area at the foot of the mountain, which were inhabited by the Romans and Etruscans from the 8th century. Tenuta Sette Ponti takes its name from the number of bridges over the Arno -seven in number- between these two Tuscan cities. The most famous of these, Buriano, on the border of the estate, was constructed between 1240 and 1277. In the background we can see two of Leonardo de Vinci’s great masterpieces, “Gioconda” and “Madonna dei Fusi”
